I chose the 10" sliding compound mitre saw with the Makita table combo. With the combined set discount, it was a reasonable price. Quality and workmanship on both pieces is perfect. A dream to use. I built a 10x40 ft deck with three 45 deg. corners. up to 2x8 and 2x10 joists. Cutting the angles was so incredibly easy - left and right; bevel and straight 45's with the flick of the wrist. And it cut the Trex-type decking baby-bottom smooth. Then I did some interior baseboard - dead-on precise. I am glad I didn't try to save a buck for a cheaper (!) model or to not get the combo-table. No regrets for years to come.

This is an excellent saw.The cuts are so smooth and accurate.A lot of buyers want the bigger blade version,but I like the 10 inch blade for more precise cuts.The laser
is a lot of help when cutting.Its a great saw,the stand is heavy and well built.I gave the stand 1 star because of packaging,when the stand arrived it was coming out of the box,the box was torn open with parts falling out.Otherwise I would have rated the stand 5 stars,it is superior to the other stands.
