Doing the work of a 10 compound miter saw, this Triton 8.5 sliding compound miter saw is sure to be a shop favorite. Its sliding system extends the cutting capacity to easily cut crown molding or dimension materials for ease of handling before final sizing. Dual slide bars with cylindrical bearings ensure great control and cutting accuracy with less effort from the operator. Rubber overmolded D-handle reduces vibration and operator fatigue. The compact design, and alloy construction means less weight, lower blade costs and is great for us in confined work spaces. Blade Dimensions: 8.5 x 5/8 x 24 Tooth. Includes: laser, material clamp, 2 side support arms, 8.5 24 tooth TCT blade, blade wrench, dust bag.

The saw is solid enough,, a larger foot print than I expected but good, makes it stable during use. First off get rid of the provided blades. They are out-of-round,wobble and leave a jagged cut.Get a good thin kerf blade, you will be happy you did. Laser is useless. Can not be adjusted and invisible in the outdoors. Poor positioning of the dust bag with no way to secure it to keep it from falling off. Clicking of degree adjustment a little sloppy, causing a visual to affirm proper setting. The saw cuts accurate enough, but with wider boards it groans at the end of the cut. The saw does have its limitations, but all in all it does the job as I am able to get smooth, straight cuts at all angles and at a good price.
this miter saw is nothing special it works and cuts true, but you will need to get a new blade before you use it the one that came with it is junk.
