You can spend a lot of money on a miter saw. But in my opinion, a lot of what you're paying for with those more expensive ones, is gimmicks. Other saws have micro-fine adjustment knobs, which is just plain dumb engineering but brilliant marketing. The slop in the hinge on any saw, the wobble in the blade, the wear on the teeth, and especially your tape measure will completely negate the accuracy that those other saws pretend to achieve. By contrast, skil's compound saws are all business. They don't pretend to be made for NASA, and after all, this wood we're cutting, not titanium alloy. It's smooth, reliable, well made with a thick aluminum base, solid components, and it's not an ounce more complex than a woodworking tool SHOULD be. I highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend this terrific tool. Don't waste money on more expensive saws, and instead get yourself a good quality blade! You'll be very happy you did.
I USE MY MITER SAW MOSTLY AS A CHOP SAW, WORKS FINE FOR ME AND IT'S MITER FETURES WORK WELL ALSO, VERY PRICISE ONCE ADJUSTED. GREAT PRODUCT FOR THE PRICE, I'DE DEFINETLY RECCAMAND IT AS A TOOL AROUND THE HOUSE AS WELL THE WORK SHOP
